Rose Allen was born in England, before 1621. Her birth location is unknown, but it is possible she was from the Somerset area.[1]A noted Allen researcher places her birth year as 1610, although Anderson places it closer to 1621.
She married, as her first husband, Joseph Holloway about 1638/39.[1][2][3] Joseph, who was a millwright by trade, is thought to have been born in about 1605 in England.
Sometime after their marriage, Joseph and Rose appear to have settled for a short period of time at Dorchester in the Massachusetts Bay Colony (now within Suffolk County, Massachusetts). In about 1637 they moved to the newly established settlement of Sandwich in the New Plymouth Colony of Massachusetts (now within Barnstable County, Massachusetts), where they appear to have resided for the remainder of their lives. While residing at Sandwich, Rose became very active in the Quaker movement and was often persecuted for her beliefs. Joseph Holloway died at Sandwich in 1647.
She married, as her second husband, William Newland, 19 May 1648.[4]
She died about 1690 OR 1694 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Mass[5]
Anderson's estimate of Rose's birth year raises some questions: Inconsistent with other secondary sources which estimate closer to 1609/10.[6]
Assuming 1621, Rose would have been around 14 years old at the time her father, step-mother, and brothers came to the new world, yet she did not come with them. 1621 also puts her birth very close to the time her mother passed away (plausible, but does raise questions).
No known marriage record in the Colony, suggesting they were married in England before immigrating. Marriage date also at odds with the idea that she and Joseph Holloway were living (together?) in Dorchester in 1636.
First child at 17 - before Anderson's 'by about 1639' estimate if son Joseph's birth year (1638) is correct. Puts her married and immigrating around the age of 15, and marrying a man 14 years her senior. Marries second to another man also 14-16 years her senior.
Taken together, this timeline seems questionable.

It's perfectly fine to have a discussion about this in the comments section, but the Bio section is not the appropriate place for a debate.
To address comments in the current Bio: no, it was NOT 'perfectly normal' for a 15 year old girl to marry a man 14 years older than she. In fact, it was not normal for any 15 year old to be married. Even in the 1600's, marriages generally occurred in the early- to mid-twenties.
I am reverting (re-adding) prior points made in the Bio as to why the 1621 birth date is questionable, and - as a profile manager - would appreciate discussion before making further significant and sweeping changes to a Pre-1700 Bio such as this.

1610 is the date supported by Jack MacDonald, a leading Allen researcher.
Also see notes in Bio regarding why the 1621 date seems questionable. Certainly open to discussion on this.
