Mariah Allen Bowman, 79, of Alum Creek died Oct. 15, 1999, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a short illness.
She was a retired nurse from Barboursville State Hospital and a member of Cobbs Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Sod.
Surviving: husband, General Bowman; daughters, Shirley Thompson of Alum Creek, Joan Lane of St. Albans, Janet Swartz of Parkersburg; sons, Bryant of Alum Creek, Giles of Charleston; brother, Bill Allen of Clearwater, Fla.; 13 grandchildern; 13 great-grandchildern; one great-great-granddaughter.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be in the Bowman family cemetery, Alum Creek. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
