Mehitable married on 29 May 1756 at Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts Bay to Caleb Washburn. [2]

Research Note

This Mehitable Allen is not to be confused with Mehitabel (Allen) Case (1732-1788) who was the daughter of Benjamin Allen and Mehitable Ingalls. The birth date of 2 Dec 1732 in Pomfret, CT is for the other Mehitabel Allen, d/o Benjamin Allen and Mehitable Inglalls.

Allen-30609 and Allen-2458 do not represent the same person because: While their names are similar and their parents names are similar, they are different persons. One b. Bridgewater, MA and the other Pomfret, CT

I believe this profile is the conflagration of two persons. As mentioned at https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/collaborate/KCWT-7QX, there are 3 Benjamin Allen/Allin born around the same time, two of which married women named Mehitable. One was Benjamin Allen I (1702-abt.1737) of Bridgewater, MA who married Mehitable Cary and the other Benjamin Allen Sr. (1708-1783) of Pomfret, Ct who married Mehitable Ingalls. It appears they each had a daughter named Mehitable (Mehitable (Allen) Leach (abt.1732-abt.1788) and Mehitabel (Allen) Case (1732-1788)). I'm not certain which date/spouses go with which daughter, but these two profiles should be corrected.
