Biography

Daniel W Allen was born 17 December 1813, at Essex, New Jersey, to his parents Marshall Allen and Mary Wilcox. He married Elizabeth Ann Van Houten on 18 January 1837, at New Vernon, Morris County, New Jersey^[1]. They had the following children: Marshall Allen, Edward Augustus Allen, William Allen, and George Henry Allen.

In 1860, he lived in Township 7 Range 8, Macoupin, Illinois, United States^[2] with his wife Elizabeth Elizabeth Van Houten and children: Marshall Allen, Edward Augustus Allen, William Allen, and George Henry Allen.

In 1870, he lived in Township 7, Range 8, Macoupin, Illinois, United States^[3] with his wife Elizabeth Elizabeth Van Houten and children: Marshall Allen, William Allen, and George Henry Allen.

In 1880, he lived in Vernon, Cowley, Kansas, United States^[4] with his wife Elizabeth Elizabeth Van Houten

He died on 3 January 1891 at Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas and is buried at Mount Vernon Cemetery South, Cowley County, Kansas.^[5] with his wife Elizabeth Elizabeth Van Houten.
