Biography

George Allen migrated from Ireland to America.

George Allen was born in Sligo, Ireland circa 1843. His father was Thomas Allen and his mother's name was Mary Anne, last name is not known at this time. ^{[1] [2]}

He married Catherine Smith on 18 Apr 1863 in St John's Union, Sligo, Ireland, at the Church of Ireland's St John's Cathedral. ^[3]

George and his new wife left immediately for the USA and arrive at Castle Gardens Immigration 1 May 1863.

After a short stay in Bath, New York, George and Catherine eventually ended up in Scranton, Pennsylvania where they raised their family of three boys.

George passed away on August 2, 1891 in Scranton, Pennsylvania and was buried there at the Washburn Street Cemetery. ^[2]
