Biography

Nancy Allen was born 3 May 1825 in Virginia. She was a daughter of Richard & Lucinda (Corder) Allen. One of her siblings was Amelia "Emily or Emma" (Allen) Skinner Spurgeon. [1]

Marriage

Nancy married David Rush on 6 Oct. 1840 in Perry Co., OH. They had eight children:

  2. Rachel,
  3. Lydia Matilda,
  4. Eli,
  5. Samuel,
  6. Margaret "Kate,"
  7. David,
  8. James.

Death

Nancy died 17 Feb 1901 (aged 75) in Straitsville, Perry County, Ohio, and is buried in Otterbein Chapel Cemetery, Gore, Hocking County, Ohio. [2]
