Biography
Date of birth (July 19, 1856) supported by Civil War Widow's Pension record completed by her mother.
Thinking that the L. is for Lucy--several censuses list a Lucy, not an Ida. Although, Find a grave has her as Laura for a middle name.
There is a error somewhere: 1860 census has her 3 yrs old ( ? 1857), but her cemetery marker has her born in 1855, and the June 1855 NY Census has parents with no children.
What are the chances she was born after the census taker left.
In the 1910 US Census, she is living at home with husband, and 2 sons, one of which has a wife and 2 daughters. It also says that she had a total of 6 children, of which 5 are alive in 1910.
