listed the 1860 US Census showing Matilda and George with their one daughter at the time. Then the 1865 NYS Census showing Matilda as a widow listed as a boarder. 1865 NYS Census has George, Mabel and Martha living with their uncle.
1910 US Census is for a George that married a Sarah. This needs follow-up to make sure that this is the same person.

George Allen born approx 1862-1863 was the child of George Allen and Matilda. He is listed with his sisters Mabel and Martha on the 1870 US Census living in an Orphanage as George the father had died. Matilda was listed as living as a boarder on the same US Census.
By the 1876 NYS Census Matilda had married Daniel Jenkins and the two girls were living there. George was living with relatives.
By the 1880 US Census, all three children were living with Matilda and Daniel Jenkins.
