Biography

Mary Jane Allen was born on 14 September 1864 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia, the eldest daughter of Robert Allen and Mary Ann Worthing.[1]. Her siblings were Robert Bartholomew Allen, William Henry Allen, Edward J Allen, Thomas O Allen, Emma R Allen, Sarah A Allen, Annie Lavinia Allen, Elizabeth May Allen, Amy Eveline Allen, Florence Victoria Allen and Holley Agnes Allen.

She married John McGuckin on 25 May 1885 in the District of Central Cumberland, New South Wales, Australia[2]. Their children were Sarah McGuckin, Francis McGuckin, Allen J McGuckin, John W McGuckin, Edward H M McGuckin, Robert J McGuckin, Mary K McGuckin, Margaret T McGuckin and Annie Gertrude McGuckin.

Mary Jane died on 5 October 1942 in the District of Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia[3] and was buried in the Rookwood Catholic Cemeteries and Crematoria, Rookwood, New South Wales, Australia[4].
