Noel Eugene Allen, 75, of Magee died Sept. 28 at Magee General Hospital following a short illness. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Services were held Sept. 29 from Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barney Padgett and Rev. John Jones officiating. Interment was in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery and Mims Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Kattie Bell Allen of Magee; sons, Vernon Allen and Donald Allen, both of Magee, Shylton Allen of Greenwood, and Elton Allen of Magee; 13 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Noel Eugene Allen was born on September 29, 1906 in MS to Willie and Sally Allen. He married Kattie Bell (Cockrell) Allen. They had four sons: Vernon Eugene Allen, Elton Junior Allen, Shelton Gerald Allen, and Donald Wayne Allen. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He passed away on September 28, 1982 at the age of 75 at Magee General Hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were held the next day at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Barney Padgett and Reverend John Jones officiating. He was buried in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. The inscription on his headstone reads: He was a kind and noble man. His obituary was on page 10 of the Simpson County News.
