Biography
John Brooks Allen was born July 3, 1815, in Braintree, Norfolk county, Massachusetts, a son of Abijah and Sarah Allen. [1] John B. Allen and Laura Ann Perkins filed their intent to marry on November 10, 1843, in Braintree, Massachusetts. [2]
On November 6, 1844, the towns of Weymouth and Braintree, in the County of Norfolk, petitioned to the General Court of Massachusetts, that a railroad be built. John B. Allen was among the petitioners. [3]
