Mary Allen and her twin sister Martha (Allen) Bowen (1641-1734) were born on 11 December 1641 in Dedham, Massachusetts Bay Colony, daughter of James Allen (~1614–1676) and Anna Guild (~1614–1673).[1]

Mary (21) married Joseph Clark (20) (born on 27 July 1642 in Dedham; son of Joseph (Clark) Clarke and Alice (Fenn) Clark) on 25 June 1663 in Medfield, Suffolk.[2] Their children were:
