Biography
She was arrested during the Civil War, along with several other young ladies from Rhea County, and taken by Captain Walker under guard to Chattanooga and made to endure hardships. The group was They were turned loose among soldiers to get home the best way they could forced to walk up Market Street to the corner of 7th Street where they took the Oath of Allegiance.(from notes of William G.
