Abigail is the daughter of Samuel Allen and either Anne___ or Margaret (Possibly French). Her siblings were: Samuel, Joseph, James, Sarah, and Mary (see "New England Historical and Genealogical Register, X,225). She was probably born in Baintree, MA around 1642. This would make Margaret her mother since Anne died in 1641. Her sister, Sarah, married Josiah Standish, son of Capt Miles Standish. As recorded in "Thomas Hatch of Barnstable " Page 201.
