Thomas Marion Allen was born on 1 Apr 1900 in Illinois, United States, son of Thomas Jefferson Allen (1865 - 1929) and Mintis H. (Sneed) Allen (1865 - 1959).

In the 1900 census Thos (age 1) was the son of Thos Allen in Walpole, Hamilton, Illinois, United States. He lived with his parents on a farm that they owned with a mortgage. His mother had bore five children, but only three were still living. Thomas's grandmother, Catherine Allen also lived with them.^[1]

IIn the 1910 census Marion (age 11) was the son of Thomas J Allen in Twigg, Hamilton, Illinois, United States living on his parents farm and attending school.^[2]

On the 12 of September 1918, Thomas registered for the draft in Hamilton, Illinois, United States. His occupation was "Farmer" and he was of medium height, slight build, blue eyes and brown hair. ^[3][4]

In the 1920 census Marion (age 20) was the single son of Thomas J Allen in Twigg Township, Hamilton, Illinois, United States. He lived with his parents and helped them with the farm that they owned. ^[5]

In the 1930 census Marion (age 31) was the married head of household and lived on a farm they owned in South Twigg Township, Hamilton, Illinois, United States.^[6]

In the 1940 census Marion (age 40) was the married and lived in a home he owned that was valued at $500. It was located in Walpole, Hamilton, Illinois, United States. Times were tough and he had only worked 24 weeks and earned $240 in the prior year. That equals out to $10 a week. ^[7]

In the 1950 census Thomas (age 49), Farming, was the married head of household in South Twigg Township, Hamilton, Illinois, United States.^[8]

Thomas Marion died (age 67) in December 1967 while residing in Hamilton, Illinois. He is buried in Walpole, Hamilton.^[9][10]
