In 1620, she accompanied her parents and siblings Bartholomew and Mary on the Mayflower.[3][4]
In the 1627 cattle division, "The second lot fel to Mr Isaac Allerton & his Companie ioyned to him his wife ffeare Allerton. To this lot fell the Greate Black cow came in the Ann to which they must keepe the lesser of the two steers, and two shee goats." Isaac's children Bartholomew, Remember, Mary, and Sarah, were part of this group.[5]
William Bradford's 1650/1 list of increasings noted that "... remember is maried at salem & hath .3. or .4 children living."[4]
Before 6 May 1635, Remember Allerton married Moses Maverick, son of Reverend John Maverick and his wife Mary (Gye) Maverick,[1] either in Plymouth Colony, Salem or Marblehead, Massachusetts Bay Colony. On that day it was noted: "Mr Ollerton hath giuen to Moses Maûacke, his soñe in lawe, all his howses, buildings, & stages, that hee hath att Marble Head, to enioy to him & his heires for euer." [6][7] After Remember's death, Moses married 22 Oct 1656 Eunice (Cole) Roberts. They had children Mary, Moses, Aaron and Sarah.[2]
Remember's exact date of death is unknown but she died sometime after 12 Sep 1652, the date of her last child's baptism, and before 22 Oct 1656, the date her husband remarried.[2][8]
Maverick died in 1686, his will was unsigned and was not accepted by the court, because some of the children objected. Named in his will, and subsequent petitions and division were:[2][7]
wife Eunice, appointed administrator.
Moses Hawks only surviving child of dau. Rebecca. In 1698, his share was for himself and in behalf of Wm. Hughes and Thomas Jackson married to Elizabeth and Priscilla Grafton, children of Elizabeth (Allerton) (Skinner) Grafton deceased.

Remember Woodman, daughter, her husband Edward Woodman in behalf of his seven children. In 1698 Thomas Perkins, who was married to Remember Woodman received shares in behalf of himself and all the children of Remember Woodman deceased.
Mary fferguson, daughter, Archibald ffurgeson, son-in-law. By 1698, she was deceased and Archibald received her share on behalf of their children.
Sarah Norman, daughter, her husband John Norman. She was the only surviving daughter in 1698.
Children of Remember (Allerton) and Moses Maverick, all but Rebecca were baptized at Salem.[2]
The Mayflower DNA Project lists one matrilineal (all female line) descendant of Mary. It is presumed this individual has taken the full mtDNA test, which tests every single base pair of the mitochondrial DNA.[10] FTDNA has assigned this individual to the W5a2 mtDNA haplogroup. Today this rare lineage is present at trace frequencies in the populations of Norway, Scotland, Ireland, and Germany.[11] Given the locations this haplogroup is found, it is possible Mary's family may have lived near Scrooby and participated in the early Separatist Church at Scrooby Manor.
Remember (Allerton) Maverick is Notable.

We are featuring this profile in the Connection Finder this week. Between now and Wednesday is a good time to take a look at the sources and biography to see if there are updates and improvements that need made, especially those that will bring it up to WikiTree Style Guide standards. The record says that Remember died before 22 Oct 1656 and that her daughter Rebecca was baptised in 1739. Some denominations had/have adult baptism but at the age of 83 a baptism would have been very, very unusual! Surely something is wrong with these dates.
Puritan names were normally chosen from the Bible. There were the obvious grace names: Faith, Hope, and Charity. There were names for desired qualities: Perseverance, Abstinence, Prudence, Temperance, Repentance, Humility. Obedience, Silence, and Tace were usually saved for females, the others were used for both sexes. There were numerous Wrestlings, Resolveds, and Be Thankfuls. The Puritans were far more creative than we give them credit for. Zachariah and Zacharias means "God remembers". So I would guess that Remember is a variation on that.
While certainly not common, I don't even find the name unusual. I think there are about 50 children given this name in early colonial New England. There's Remember Allerton, Remember Ward, Remember Swift, Remember Felton, Remember Read, Remember Smith, Remember Stevens, etc.
Would you post which source specifies 1614 to include for inline citation. Anderson states, "say 1615" so I included that as a citation so should we change it to 1615? And just wondering what needs to be reconciled for marriage and death dates if they aren't known exactly?
