Biography

Samuel Alley was born on 19 November 1752 in Boothbay, Maine. His parents were John and Martha Alley[1].

He married Sarah Linekin in 1774 in Boothbay. They had nine children, but records remain of only four[2]:

1. Samuel, born 7 Aug 1774; married Betsey Gove
2. John, born 28 Mar 1777; married Sally Hibbard
3. Patty, born 15 Mar 1784; married Samuel Perkins
4. William, born 12 Aug 1789; married Martha Bennett

The other five children were Mary, James, Ephraim, Sally, Betty, and Isaac.

Samuel's date of death is uncertain.
