Biography

Olive Thelma Alley, daughter of John Alley and Eliza Hoover, was born in 1897. She died in 1982[1] and is buried in Alley Cemetery in Alleyton, Texas.[2]

Research Notes

Note: Thelma seems to have been happily married to Arthur Perry who died in an accident at the Houston docks in 1939 as he performed his job of Longshoreman. According to the obituary of Thelma's brother, Shelly Alley, who passed away in 1964, she must have remarried a man whose last name was Carey, but she must have divorced this man and taken her Perry name back, because the SSDI indicates that she was Olive Thelma Perry when she died in 1982. (Either that or the person writing the obituary got her last name wrong.)
