Sarah (Allison) Mott was born in Appalachia, in Tennessee.

Sarah Malinda (Allison) Mott was born on 14 Sep 1822 in White, Tennessee, United States, daughter of Joseph Clayton Allison (1799 - 1886) and Asenath Cynthia (Stone) Allison (1802 - ~1862).

Sarah married Amos Travis Mott (1823 - 1892) on 22 Sep 1842 in White.

Sarah died on 10 Jul 1883 in Blue River, Harrison, Indiana aged 60. She is buried in Mount Tabor Church of Christ Cemetery, Depauw, Indiana.[5]
