Mary Ann Alvis was born around 1801 in Clapton, Somerset. [1]
Mary Ann Alvis and James King married in 12 February 1829 in Bristol. [2]
In 1851 Mary Ann was widowed and living with her father John Alvis and son William in Chipping Sodbury. John was a Farmer of 208 acres employing people. [1]
On 28 July 1856 Mary Ann King married again, to William Hancock. William was a labourer as was his father, also William. Mary Ann's father John Alvis was a Farmer. [3]
In 1861 William and Mary A were living in Bristol. [4]
