I was born in West Virginia as were my parents and grand parents. As a teenager I was not curious about my ancestors and consequently have been very surprised at some of the information I have discovered.
I graduated from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia.
I moved to Miami, Florida in the late 1950's where I worked for the State Welfare Department but later moved to the Department of Juvenile Justice. I retired in 1992 and relocated to Tampa, Florida where I have taken classes in the adult education department of the University of South Florida.
I have found tons of information on my fathers family, however, my mothers grandparents, George Gilmore Williams and Frances Ellen Forbes, have been more difficult.
