Research

Based on documents discovered by Harry O. Alvis and Dr. Elizabeth Lindsey Britton, we can now identify the children of Elijah and Elizabeth (Clarke) Alvis.[9]
From The Alvis Exchange, 37-7:
"Alvis Families in Different Areas of Virginia in the Early 19th Century"
From Hanover and Goochland Counties, members of the Alvis family moved in different directions, which provide a clue to family units. The families of Zachariah, Elijah and Robert at first stayed in the same place.

Badgett-28 and Alvis-85 appear to represent the same person because: Nancy's LNAB was Alvis; Badgett was her married name. Parents have been listed incorrectly as Badgett's.
