Christopher Ambler was born in Yorkshire, England.

Christopher Aumler was christened 22 Feb 1624 in Whitkirk, Yorkshire, England. He was born to William Aumbler[1] and Mary Gray.[2]

After his birth, his sister Elizabeth was christened 23 Mar 1633 in Whitkirk, Yorkshire, England.[3] and his sister Jane was christened 16 Apr 1637 in Whitkirk, Yorkshire, England.[4]

He had many children:

  • His son Lancelot was christened 8 Aug 1652 in the same town as his father.[5]
  • His son Thomas was born 21 Dec 1659 and Christened 23 Dec 1659 in Whitkirk.[6]
  • His daughter Mary was christened 30 Mar 1662 in Whitkirk, Yorkshire, England.[7][8]
  • His Son Christopher was christened 19 Feb 1665 in Whitkirk, Yorkshire, England.[9][10]
  • His son William was christened 29 May 1667 in Whitkirk. He only lived until 19 Mar 1671.[11][12]
  • His son Henry was christened 18 Sep 1670 in Barwick in Elmet, Yorkshire, England.[13]
  • On 5 Jul 1653, his daughter Alice was buried in the parish of St. Mary in Whitkirk.[14]
  • On 29 May 1665, his son William was buried at St. Mary's parish in Whitkirk.[15] After this he named his next son William.

He died 25 Jun 1695. His death was recorded in Barwick in Elmet, Yorkshire.[16]
