Peder Andersson Riber, Lægreid var den yngste av sønene til sokneprest Anders Riber, kona Kari Larsdatter Kvanndal var sonedotter til presten David petræus i Granvin. 5 av borna deira døydde av barnesott og vart gravlagde same dag den 5. oktober 1710.
Han fekk halvdelen av bruk nr. 4 på Hereid etter far sin ved skiftet i 1688, men mor hans skulle som presteenkje ha 1 1/2 lp smør skattefritt. Då ho døydde fall det bort og gjekk inn i bruket. Per eigde og brukte då 3 lp smør frå 1694. (Sjå side 435 i gards- og ættesoge for Eidfjord).
Rough English translation:
Peder Andersson Riber, Lægreid was the youngest of the sons of parish priest Anders Riber, his wife Kari Larsdatter Kvanndal was the daughter of the priest David Petræus in Granvin. 5 of their children died of polio and were buried on the same day, 5 October 1710.
He received half of usufruct no. 4 at Hereid after his father at the transfer in 1688, but his mother, as a priest's widow, was to have 1 1/2 lp of butter tax-free. When she died it fell away and went into the mill. Per then owned and used 3 lp of butter from 1694. (See page 435 in the farm and family history for Eidfjord).
