Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful. Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages. Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies. Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages". Sometime you may run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations. If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page! Hi Katherine,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

Welcome Katherine!

I'm glad you found us. To become a full member (aka Wiki Genealogist), you’ll need to sign the Honor Code. For a list of helpful links, click my name and check out the "Greeter" section-especially the Sources links and the links to my fellow greeters Debby and Maggie, who have helpful information on their profile pages also.

If you get stuck on anything and can't find an answer in WikiTree Help or How to Use WikiTree, you can post to G2G or give me a holler.

Thank you for joining our collaborative tree! Remember that our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please look for duplicates before adding a profile.

Enjoy!

I grew up with extended family members and learned many truths and myths about family. Geneological research has helped me clear up a lot of misperceptions and taught me so much about the history of our family and our country. I am delighted at the prospect of sharing the information I have gathered with others so that they may share in my delight.

Hi! I see you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.~Michele~

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'. Please direct any questions to: Eowyn Langholf

A couple suggestions to get you started:

1. Our Honor Code is a very important part of why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree so please take some time to read it.

3. Our help pages, top right, have all sorts of useful information.

If you would like to contribute, click the volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile to let our greeters know. You should include a little bit about how you plan to contribute to the tree.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)
