In the household record covering 1855-1861 she is entered as Anna Mathilda Dorothea with the name Axelina added above Dorothea. Then Dorothea has been underlined and Axelina crossed out.[2] In the next household record, covering 1861-1870 she is Anna Mathilda Axelina, with Axelina crossed out and Dorothea entered above. The vicar may have been of the opinion that she should not go by a different name from what she had been christened with. In any case the family emigrated in 1869.[3]
In America she evidently went by the name Lena, short for Axelina (also spelled Oxalena by some). Lena Anderson married Francis M. Wisdom 27 January 1878.[4]

Anderson-18337 and Anderson-13071 appear to represent the same person because: Same vital data, same husband. Her given names are a bit messy, since there seems to have been a disagreement with the Lutheran vicar in the parish where she was born and she went by a different name in America.
Is it possible that her name in Sweden was Axelina? I can imagin how that would sound like Oxalena in America.
