William Anderson, son of Evan T. Anderson and Loretta née Vandemark was born in 1888 in Ohio.
He married Lona Beatrice Cowden on 27 November 1912 in Putnam County, Ohio. They had three sons together - William M, Isadore, and Gail.
After the loss of Beatrice in 1942, William married Mrs. Edith Thornberry, who passed away in 1964. Her son Richard became William's step son.
William worked as a carpenter, was a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the United Church of Christ in Columbus Grove Ohio.
Two of his sons were living at the time of his passing on 17 January 1966 in Lima, Allen, Ohio. Son William Merlin Anderson lived in Ohio, and Gail in Glendale California.
