Mount Kisco, N. Y., Sept. 18---Miss Joan Mary Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Marvin Anderson of White Gates Farm, Bedford Hills, and New York, was married here this morning in the Roman Catholic Church of St. Francis of Assisi, to James Baker Russell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall H. Russell of New York and Aiken, S. C. The Most Rev. J. Francis A. McIntyre, Auxiliary Bishop of New York, performed the ceremony, and the Rev. Charles O'Conor Sloane of St. Francis Church, cousin of the bride, was the celebrant of the nuptial mass that followed.

Ogunquit, Maine- Joan A. Russell, 86, of 5 Bourne Lane, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Mrs. Russell lived a long and charmed life. She died peacefully at her home surrounded by people who loved her. She is survived by her four children, Victoria E. Russell, Jocelyn R. Webster, James B. Russell III and Stephen M. Russell. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur M. Anderson. She was married to Mr. James B. Russell for 62 years before his death in 2003. She was the picture of a proper lady, and she conducted her life with grace and dignity even as the years took their toll. Heaven will be blessed by a beautiful woman and a beautiful person and she will be missed by those that knew her. God bless.
A memorial Mass for Mrs. Russell will be held at 10 am on Friday, December 5th in the Holy Spirit Parish- St. Mary’s Church in Wells. Memorial contributions may be made to the The Animal Welfare Society, P.O. Box 43, West Kennebunk, ME 04094 or to the Ogunquit Fire and Police Departments.
