I just wanted to check in with you to see how things are going. If you have any questions about WikiTree please feel free to contact me. Michelle~WikiTree Mentor
You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?
We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

PS Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.
P.S. Tags are a great way to connect with others researching the same name or location. To make that easier, you'll want to add tags (one each) for surnames and locations you're interested in. Click the linked "following" in the text just above your tag on this page, your profile page, to add more tags.
Once you save your tags (and last I checked, you needed to save each one as you edit or add it), you'll be able to click them and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those subjects. For surnames, there will be another tab on that page that shows you all of the profiles with that name.
You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.
The tags we follow and the comments we make about them at WikiTree help us connect with other members and aid in collaboration on our shared tree. Tags should be single surnames, locations, or genealogical interests/events (such as Cemeteries or Mayflower). Comments should include why you are following or researching the specific name, place, or interest/event.
If you could edit your tags and comments to give us a bit more information about your genealogical interests we will be happy to confirm you as a full member of our community.

The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.
WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we work together on our share ancestors!
When you confirm your email address, youll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history.
Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests. It can be a name, like SMITH, or a place, like SCOTLAND. Be sure to click the "Enter Tag(s) and Volunteer" button when you finish!
When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!
