When Helen Olevia Anderson was born on January 4, 1899, in Spencer, Indiana, her father, Walter, was 23 and her mother, Lelah, was 23. She married Thomas William Murray and they had one daughter together in 1922. She then married John Franklin Couch in 1962. She died on February 21, 1979, in Ramona, California, at the age of 80, and was buried in Indianapolis, Indiana.
