Notes

Note N62Margaret's Christening date, place and parents names are confirmed on Scots Origins (GRO) database. Her date and place of marriage are also confirmed on the GRO database and LDS database.
They are also on the LDS records.
Husband Alexander moved to Giffordland Farm following their marriage in 1860, and stayed there until 1868/69 with second wife Margaret Craig.
Her year of death is confirmed from both family records and the Scots Origins (GRO) database. She died 8 days after after giving birth to her son James. This has been confirmed by Sandy Stirrat, the grandson of James Stirrat born in May 1864. Sandy emailed me in 2005 with details of the Stirrat family which I have added to our tree. Sandy lives in Perthshire, Scotland.
