Biography

Sarah was born to Daniel and Rachel Anderson in Susquehanna Hundred in a place called Swans Creek in Maryland just outside Baltimore, Md. She married William Sharpnack Sr. in 1801. They had 13 children between 1804 and 1829:

  1. Elizabeth 1804,
  2. Rachel 1806,
  3. Daniel 1807,
  4. Jacob 1808,
  5. Mary 1809,
  6. William 1810,
  7. Jane Hester 1813,
  8. Samuel 1815,
  9. Hiram 1818,
  10. Peter 1820,
  11. Anna 1822,
  12. Henry 1826, and
  13. John 1829.

All of the children and their descendants are named Sharpnack, not Sharpneck.

A small minority of distant cousins use the Sharpneck name.

On 21 Aug 1850 she was listed as 64 years old and was living in Virginia. [1]

She passed in Aug 1851 and was buried in Carney Cemetery, Wetzel County, West Virginia. [2]
