Biography

John was born in 1757. He passed away in 1822. [1] Robert Anderson was born on Oct. 7, 1804. He was the son of an Scotch-Irishman named Jonathan Anderson and a Pennsylvania born lady named Margery Notts. Jonathan was killed in the War of 1812 and Margery lived off his pension until her death on Nov. 22, 1860 at the age of 99. Robert Anderson married Mary Weekley, daughter of a Revolutionary War Veteran who was also one of the first three settlers in what is now Tyler Co, West Virginia named Thomas Weekley. The Andersons lived out on Muddy Creek in the Ellsworth District of Tyler County.[2] Jonathan must have been injured as it shows he died in 1822, 7 years after the war.
