Sir Charles is the son of Charles Anderson and Frances Nelthorpe. According to Wikipedia, he is the 9th and last Baronet Anderson of Broughton.

He matriculated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 28 February 1823. He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1826 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), in 1829 with a Master of Arts (M.A.). He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Anderson, of Broughton, co. Lincoln [E., 1660] on 24 March 1846, and then "of Lea Hall, co. Lincoln." He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1851. This Baronetcy Had and Still Has No Possible Heirs
Sir Edmond Anderson, 1st Bt. had a fifth son, Francis Anderson, b. abt. 1631, m. 1st, Frances, dau. Staresmore of Frolesworth County Leicester; 2nd, Hellen, dau. William Anderson of Hull.
Francis' son, Stephen died without issue. Therefore, all male lines descending from Sir Edmond Anderson, 1st Bt. of Broughton have become extinct.
