Biography

Helen ANDERSON was born in 1827 and christened on 11 February 1927 in Kinnaird, Perthshire, Scotland [1]. Her parents were Andrew ANDERSON and Jane WALLACE.

She married James Patullo on 19 November 1847 in Errol, Perthshire, Scotland[2].

They emigrated to Australia when the ship. Caroline Agnes set sail from the Downs, England on 8 March 1849 with the PATULLO family among the assisted immigrant passengers and arrived in Port of Geelong, Colony of New South Wales (later known as Victoria) on 28 June 1849[3][4]. The PATULLO family consisted of parents, James (age 24, Farm servant) and Ellen Anderson (21, Housekeeper) and their infant son, James. Also aboard was James' brother, William (age 22, Farm servant). The adults were all Presbyterians from Perthshire, could read and write and the brothers both had a bible.
