After high school graduation, went to work for a Telecommunications Company, and worked there for some years, during which time I earned my B.A. in Communications. Got married and worked for a Telecommunications company for some years again. During that time we started a thriving successful business in the downtown Minneapolis. We then moved to a larger location and after a time sold that business. We, then, moved to San Diego and began a successful real estate business. Regrettably, but necessarily, divorced later. Worked as a substitute teacher for ESL, (Spanish) and special needs and later was an asst. sales manager for a Wireless Cellular Company. Also, did some post graduate work in education and business while working. Also, took all the classes for real estate brokerage license, but decided it wasn't a good fit for me. I moved back to Minnesota where I began to work for the Airlines.
I am incredibly blessed with three beautiful, good kids. My oldest, my beautiful daughter, is married to a great guy, successful in his profession, and wonderful son-in-law. They have recently given birth to my first grandchild. They are all very happy enjoying the new addition to their family. (My daughter married a man whose last name is the same as my maiden name and very common in these parts, but there is no relation, as my Grandfather, Gust Anderson was an orphan and immigrant from Sweden. He had only one brother who died in the war for Sweden. My grandfather had only one son, my father, Robert Anderson. I had no brothers, so, that was the end of our Anderson line in the U.S. My oldest son is doing very well in his higher education. My youngest son is, also, doing very well in his higher education studies. I am very proud of them all.
My interests are politics, biology, history, genealogy, theology, foreign languages, singing (learning Armenian Liturgical Opera was my most recent new singing experience). I enjoy listening to most all music from country to classical, (my favorite remains Hank Williams Sr.), and movies. I enjoy my Catahoula pup, about two yrs. old now, and a Maine Coon cat, both rescues.
My faith is an important part of my life and enjoy the daily challenges of learning, growing and accepting God's grace. Books in that genre I would recommend are "Practicing the Presence of God" by Br. Lawrence Herman; "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis; "The Problem of Pain" by C.S. Lewis; and "Introduction to the Devout Life" by St. Frances De Sales.

Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, and Merging.
We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community. And we're always looking for volunteers to assist in different ways.
As always, I'm here to help if you have any questions!

Now that you have had a little time to try our site, there are a few more features you may find useful:
For instance, ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards; including some tips on writing biographies
Also a friendly reminder about adding sources and references to your profile. Sources are critically important for genealogy and you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from. This page describes different kinds of sources: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Also, Jewish branch rumored from the Delcomyns Denmark and her ancestors originally from Belgium, (Emilie Maria Magdalene Delcomyn). Any information would be deeply appreciated.
Have fun and ask for help if you need it. Most WikiTree members are eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.
See you in the branches Kern Brogan Greeter
The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as one collaborative team.
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?
When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way.
Welcome to the family!
Carole
P.S. I'm always happy to answer questions.
