John Francis was born at Singleton 1920 the son of Francis Joseph 'Frank' ANDERSON and Annie Madoline CONVERY. John died at Mayfield, Newcastle in 1952 and married at Singleton 1941 to Cora JACKSON.

  • OBITUARY. MR. J. F. ANDERSON.

John Francis Anderson, of Kelso Street Singleton, who met death tragically in an accident at Sandgate on Monday night, was buried at the Catholic cemetery this morning. He was 31 years of age. The late Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Cora May, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. Jackson, formerly of Singleton, but now living at Cessnock. He also leaves two children, Jean and John. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Anderson, of 11 Bathurst Street, and three, brothers and five sisters. They are: Rex, Vince, Brian, Sheila (Mrs. Harry Geddes), Laurel (Mrs. McBain), Maisie (Mrs. Laing) and Dulcie of Singleton, and Muriel (Mrs. Barnett, of Brisbane). A native of the district, Mr. Anderson's death comes as a great shock to his many friends. The well attended funeral left the home of his parents in Bathurst Street this morning a 11 a.m. and after a service in St. Patrick's church the body was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery. Messrs. Partridge Bros, made the funeral arrangements.
