Karen "Dutch" was born in Port Arthur, TX. Her first husband was William Foster. Her second husband was David Henry Burke. She had no children with William and had one two children with David in September 1951: (twins) James Powell Burke and John Holland Burke both of Port Arthur, TX. Karen is the daughter of Mary "Nana" Andersen of Pecan Island, LA & Anton Marinas Andersen of Copenhagen, Denmark. Karen has one sister: Virmay Andersen ("Aunt Bibo"). Karen worked many odd jobs (stay-at-home-mom / cook / cleaning / etc) most notable: she worked during WWII in a factory packaging graphite and grease for the war - this caused her to suffer twice from TB before she met David! Karen was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School (Yellow Jackets) in 1943. She survived hurricane Audrey in 1957.
