Fanny was born about 1786 in Cumberland County, Virginia to William Anderson and Catherine Shirley. Her father died when she was young and her mother was appointed her guardian.[1]
On 4 December 1809 in Cumberland County Virginia, Fanny was married to James Meador.[2]
Fanny and James lived in Cumberland County with his widowed mother Martha, and cared for her until her death in 1832. They were the parents of nine children. The children were Elizabeth, James, Pleasant, Marcus, Shirley A, William, Alonzo, Ballard, and Mary.
It wasn't until after Fanny's mother died in 1833 that her father's estate was settled.[3] Fanny died in Cumberland County, Virginia between 1835 and 1838. Her burial location is unknown.
