Biography

Robert G. Anderson was born 21 September 1769 in Buncombe County, North Carolina. ^[1] He married Elizabeth Jarvis 8 April 1792 in Surrey County, North Carolina. ^[2] They had two children: Martha Patricia Anderson and William Anderson. He passed away 9 November 1848 in Shady Grove, White County, Tennessee. He was interreded in Anderson Cemetery #2, Near Doyle, White County, Tennessee. ^{[1] [3]}

His will dated 3 Nov 1846 mentions his wife Elizabeth, sons James (dec.), John (dec.), Jabez (dec.), Robert (dec.), and William Anderson, and daughters Nancy Buckner, Martha Godard, and Elizabeth Copeland (dec.). It was probated 3 Jan 1848.^[4] Tombstones being what they are, it is most likely he really died in November 1847, since the next probate court session after that was in January 1848.
