Biography
Donald M. Anderson 1920 - 2007
CASA GRANDE, Ariz. - Donald was born in Wolf Point, Mont., Oct. 2, 1920, the son of Hans and Inga Anderson. Donald was raised north of Wolf Point in the Wood's community. Donald served as a medic in the 13th "Black Cat" Armored Division of the U.S. Army during WWII. He came home to Wolf Point and met his future wife, Ronda "Ronnie" Hill, who was teaching school and living with Albert and Huldha Karge. Huldha was Donald's sister. Donald married Ronda, Sept. 21, 1946. They settled on a farm and ranch north of Wolf Point and were noted and very proud of the award-winning Angus breeding stock they raised at the Anderson Angus Ranch. Donald always referred to his Angus cattle as "the most expensive hobby he ever had." He enjoyed every second he spent with his cattle and all the people he met while traveling to cattle shows and sales. After retiring from the ranch in 1981, Donald and Ronda made their home in Casa Grande. During his retirement, Donald enjoyed playing cards, riding his bike and visiting with his friends. Donald is survived by his son, Larry and his wife, Anne, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Peggy of Mesa; grandson, Leif of Colorado Springs; his brother, Robert K. Anderson of Billings; and sister, Irene Erickson of Wolf Point. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Ronda, his parents, a sister and five brothers. Committal services will be held in Wolf Point, Friday Nov. 30, at 1 p.m.
