Ernest was born 10 Dec 1873.[1] in Washington, D.C. to Lybrun and Barbara Anderson[2][3][4][5][6][7]

His paternal grandparents moved to Washington from Loudoun, Virginia when his father, Lybrun, was still a youth. Lybrun worked as en engineer for the Post Office for many years and had filed a couple of patents for tools. His mother had been born in D.C. as was her mother, and her mother's parents were married there in 1813.

Ernest married Carrie E Pulman on 25 Apr 1900.[8] They had seven children:

1901: Ernest Percival:
Moved to Detroit as a teenager. Married Hazel Barto in Manhattan in 1921 and moved to Chicago. They had three boys. He died in Chicago in 1937 - age 36.
1903: Raymond Wilson:
Married Margaret Delaney in Baltimore around 1921 - age 18. They had a girl and two boys. They separated but never divorced. Raymond died in 1944 - age 41.
1905: Clarence Hunting;
AKA George. Joined the Navy at age 15 or 16. He moved to California where he married Louise Nunes in 1925. They had two children In 1946, he married Ardath Kerr. Died in 1980.
1907: Florence Barbara:
Died of whooping cough, age 3 months.
1908: Catherine[9]
Died shortly after birth from a heart condition.
1910: Ethel Louise:
Married Norman Stant, They had one son: Norman. Died in 1970.
1917: Doris Estelle:
Married Clifford Mausert in 1953. Died in Florida in 1994.

Initially, Ernest worked as a sign painter[3][4][5][6][10], but by 1920 had saved enough money to purchase several investment properties in Washington. Unfortunately, the depression wiped out all of his investments and savings and early into the 1930s he lost grip on the harsh reality. By 1930, he was institutionalized[7]

Ernest died on 6 Sep 1955.[11]. Internment records give date of death as 9/6/1955.[12][13]
