Henry was born 22 Jul 1858 in Washington, D.C. to Lybrun and Barbara Anderson[1][2][3][4][5] with his twin brother Samuel Clinton. Henry enlisted in the service after leaving home[6][7][3], but it is not clear how long he stayed. By 1900, we find him living with his parents, where he stayed until their deaths and then was under the care of his brother Ernest who had him admitted to St. Elizabeth's. Henry died on 20 Aug 1919[8][9]

Research Notes

It is not known what caused Henry's decline. In 1910, he was listed as executor in his mother's will. It is not known whether he was able to carry on that function when she died in 1916 but we do see his father's will of the next year stipulating special arrangements for his care.
His father's will lists him as 'Clarence R.'
