Estelle was born in 1869[1][2] in Washington, D.C. to Lybrun and Barbara Anderson.
She died on 5 Jul 1870 and was buried at Congressional Cemetery.[3]

Research Notes

There is no trace of Estelle other than the 1870 census. She is not listed in 1880 Census for her immediate family nor has she been seen in the censuses of known relatives. It could be that she was missed that year and since the 1890 census was lost to fire, we cannot see her there either. The most probable answer is that she died sometime between the age of one and eleven and as mortality was higher at the younger ages, likely closer to one.
The internment records for Congressional Cemetary record a child of Lybrun and Barbara who died on 5 Jul 1870. Although this preceded the 16 Jul 1870 enumeration date listed on the census form, the official enumeration date for that census was the 1 Jun 1870 and all entries were required to be for that date. With the birth of Estelle in 1869, it is not likely that there was another child after her but before the 1870 census.
