Biography
John Anderson was born about 1837.
In late October 1920 John died at Invercargill in Southland, New Zealand. According to the Invercargill Cemetery registers online, he was buried at the Eastern Cemetery on Sunday 30th October 1920.

His headstone transcription reads …
In loving memory of/ John Anderson/ Who departed this life/ 28th Oct 1910 aged 73 years/ Also his beloved wife/ Ellen/ Who died 4th April 1904/ Aged 68 years/ Also their beloved son/ Robert/ Who died at Birchwood/ 31st May 1898 aged 32 years/ Blessed are the dead which die in/ The Lord.
