(East Side) Sacred/ to the memory of/ Lieut. James Anderson of 71st Reg't/ who fell/ In the cause of his Country and of Europe/ In the action at the town of Are in France/ on the 17th March/ 1814. (West Side) Here lie the remains of/ Mrs Margaret Anderson/ wife of Mr. Roger Anderson of/ Kilkenny who died October/ 31st 1818 in the 68th year of/ her age having truly experienced/ the peace of God which surpassed/ all understanding. / Also the remains of Jane, daughter/ of Mr. John Anderson who died/ Sept. 20th 1819 Aged -- yrs/ Also the remains of Mr. Roger/ Anderson husband to above /Margaret who died June 20th 1820/ aged --8 Years.
