Morris Edward Andrew was born on September 26, 1880 in Greene county, Iowa. He was the son of William Andrew and Martha Flack. On a number of documents he is found as Maurice, but upon his death he appeared to have settled on Morris as the spelling of his given name.
Morris was married to Bessie Mae Williamson on December 14, 1915, in Greene county.[1]
He passed away on November 9, 1958 and is buried in the Highland Township Cemetery at Churdan, Iowa.

1900 - United States Federal Census - In the 1900 United States federal census, William Andrew, 46, is farming in Highland Township, Greene county, Iowa. Living with him is his wife, Marthy, 42, and children, Marshal, 21; Moris, 19, Wildia, 17; Merton, 15; Pearl, 7 and Mattie, 5.[2]
1910 - United States Federal Census -In the 1910 federal census, William Henry Andrew, 56, is living with his wife, Martha E., 52, in Highland Township, Greene county, Iowa. Living with them are their children, Marshall H., 30; Maurice E., 28; Merton A., 24; Pearl E., 17; and Mattie M., 15. William Henry is listed as a farmer while the boys are listed as laborers.[3]
