Biography

In 1897, Joshua Drummond states that he was not able to trace Abigail Andrews daughter of Henry Andrews and Mary Pool.[1]

Abigail's father died early in 1653. Abigail's name was mentioned in his will.[1] He left Abigail and her sister, Sarah, 130 pounds to be divided among them equally.

Her mother died early in 1654. She left her "two little daughters Sarah Andrews and Abigaill Andrews" certain articles with reversionary interest.[1] In the will of Mary Andrews, undoubtedly the wife of Henry, she specifically refers to Henry in her will, and mother of the same four children mentioned in Henry's will.

According to “Henry Andrews of Taunton and The Calves Pasture” by Almon D Hodges Jr, pp 16-17, (https://memory.loc.gov/service/gdc/scd0001/2007/20070619037he/20070619037he.pdf), Abigail (b 1646 or 1647 Taunton) was the daughter of Henry Andrews (d early 1653 Taunton) and Mary Unknown (d early 1655 Taunton), married 1667 Deacon John Wadsworth of Duxbury (son of Christopher Wadsworth and Grace Cole), and died midnight 24/25 Nov 1723 Duxbury.

Andrews-11756 and Andrews-594 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth, death, husband. Problem with parents needs to be resolved before merge.

Where is the documentation that concludes Joseph appears to be the correct father? The will of Joseph, husband of Elizabeth, names Abigail as a grand-daughter. HIs son Thomas' daughter Abigail is the wrong age.

Henry's will has land left to his daughter Abigail, who marries John Wadsworth. At best it still looks inconclusive to me, unless there is some other document or text.

Andrews-2502 and Andrews-594 appear to represent the same person because: This Abigail and child appear to have been left behind from the family in a previous merge. Can you please rejoin them with their family? Thank you!

Hi Brian,

The information on this profile is contradictory. The bio says she is the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth. Ancestry trees are the only sources given. It appears that she is a clear match for Abigail Andrews which discusses the question of her parentage. These two profiles need to be reconciled. Thank you!

Andrews-796 and Andrews-594 appear to represent the same person because: I adopted one of these and made corrections based on information I have -- these are the same person, although there are some questions which remain to be answered. It would be good to make them one!
