Biography
Francis Andrews was born about 1820[1] in Belfast, Antrim, Ireland.
He Married Catherine Dobbie about 10 May 1851 in Glasgow, Scotland[2].
He is located in the west Lothian area before 1856 as Catherine Andrews was born near Bathgate, West Lothian. Mary Andrews was born next.
The 1861 Census Has him in Torphichen, Linlithgowshire (West Lothian)[3] with a birth year approx of 1824. He was working as a Ironstone Miner.
Sarah Jane Andrew, Marion Andrews and Margaret Andrews were born next.
He was living in Woodend Cottage, Torphican in 1871[4] as a Coal Miner. On Marion Andrews marriage certificates that is his listed profession.
He traveled with the rest of his family to New Zealand.
He died on 19 December 1875 in Dunedin, New Zealand[5].
He was buried in Northern Cemetery, Dunedin in the same Grave as Catherine Andrews and Mary Bell [6][7].
