Elias Andrews was born on 10 Oct. 1838 at Vermont, USA.[1] He appeared on the census of 16 Sep. 1850 in the household of his parents, Caleb Collin Andrews and Ermina (Wilcox) Andrews, at Arlington, Bennington Co., Vermont.[2] He appeared on the census of 16 July 1860 in the household of his parents at Arlington, Bennington Co., Vermont.[3] He appeared on the census of 1870 at Nelson, Madison Co., New York. He appeared on the census of 1880 at Nelson, Madison Co., New York. He appeared on the census of 1900 at Nelson, Madison Co., New York. He appeared on the census of 1910 at Nelson, Madison Co., New York, USA.
He died on 5 Jan. 1912 at age 73.[1]
Elias was probably buried at Erieville Cemetery, Nelson. There is a memorial with a date of birth of 1828 and a title of Rev. No source is provided and the photo of the headstone is not clear on the date.[4] It is most likely that this is the memorial for Elias, and the date of birth, being difficult to read, is wrong. In the census records Elias has a family and is listed as a farmer, so the source for the Rev. title is unknown as well.
